Nirvana N75 permanent magnet motor

We have compressor Ingersoll Rand Nirvana N 75 with permanent magnet motor. I am trying to remove the motor from the airend, but there is no coupling. There is a big screw in the middle of the engine, but when removed nothing changes and the motor cannot be removed from the airend. We used 10tons hydraulic press to try to push the motor out of the airend, but it does not move a bit.

You can see pictures of the engine and the airend. Any advice will be appreciated.

The first question is: why are you doing this? I understand that you want to repair ..? Use the press for more powerful. First find spare parts list for this IR compressor. Тут вроде бы есть спецы по данной технике - может поделится кто* :P

Есть партлист по SSR. Тип соединения двигателя - мультипликатора - винтового блока скорее всего похож.
Попробуйте отсоединить блок от фланца (показано стрелками). Возможно, держат штифты и паронит.

In what year the compressor was made?

Hello,

The problem with the compressor is that the motor overload protection triggers, so I nee to check the condition of he airend, gear and engine. I want to start the engine without the airend to check if the overload protection will triggers again.,

The year of the manufacture is 2008. The compressor is Nirvana N75 with permanent magnet motor. This motor is totally different from SSR type compressors.

First of all I recommend you to invite Ingersoll Rand skilled technician. As you see, HPM is very different with induction motor. It is almost impossible to test Nirvana motor separately in the field. If you want to remove the motor yourself anyway, see below. High risk is yours. First step - you should dismount a stator. Be very careful avoid any damage. IR technitians have special tool for stator removing. Then put discharge nozzle of grease gun into shaft's threaded hole as deep as possible. Make about 20 strokes of standard grease gun to inject the proper amount of grease into the shaft. There should at least 40 mm of grease in the bottom of the shaft for the removal to work properly. Reel the teflon tape to the threads of the rotor bolt retreated about 20 mm from the end. Numbers of layers should be enough to keep the thickness of teflon pack above the thread about 2.5 mm. Screw rotor bolt in shaft by hand. Hidro press is ready. Then you should prevent rotating of the shaft. You can use special IR tool :-) or make it youself. To this are threaded holes in the rotor. When the shaft fixed, you can start tighten the rotor bolt. Rotor bolt compresses grease. Grease is going thru small hole into the groove and forced between shaft and rotor. After the rotor releases from the shaft, to remove, simply push rotor, by hand, back into the shaft, then remove the rotor bolt. The rotor is ready for lifting. You can try perform a work without rotor holder using a impact nutrunner. Good luck.

It is necessary to first remove the stator, then unscrew the central bolt and heat the gas burner directly into the hole where the bolt was for 20 minutes. He himself will leave.

Конечно, компрессор уже в помойке!
Существует ряд ошибок в диагностике, а также технически при попытке ремонта!
В Болгарии достаточно специалистов, которые знают, как это сделать.
К сожалению, г-н Борисов взял вещи в свои руки ... результат, вероятно, плачевньй !!!! :cool:

Как? Изобщо представяте ли си ,по какъв начин ще завъртите този мотор,ако е демонтиран от винта..!!??
Премерихте ли намотките с мегаомметър,завъртяхте ли роторите :с оня голям болт(ключ 46)...направихте ли диагностика чрез сервизно меню...
Имате връзка с мен,ако е необходимо-на лични,както прецените...
